Our cleaning processes

We use eco-friendly, chemical-free products with antibacterial properties that are 99.99% effective, ensuring all our rental equipment is safe and hygienic for your little bubba.

Highchairs and equipment with soft furnishings or linings

The cleaning process starts with a thorough vacuum to remove all loose dirt and debris before being dismantled in line with the manufactures instructions. Machine washable parts are washed on the suggested cycle using Milton antibacterial laundry tablets.

All other parts receive a good old-fashioned scrub, and if required, a pressure washer is used to blast away stubborn grime.

For milk preparation equipment

All parts are dismantled and thoroughly washed before setting the inbuild cleaning cycle using sterilising fluid. All cartridges are brand specific and are replaced frequently. All machines are descaled on a six-weekly basis using white vinegar.

Breast pumps

Are fully dismantled, suitable parts are submerged in a bowl (reserved specifically for this purpose) of hot soapy water, washed and rinsed. Electrical parts/outer casing receive a thorough wipe-over.

Sanitising

In most cases, sanitisation will have taken place during the cleaning process due to the cleaning products we have selected to use, all of which contain antibacterial properties. However, as parents, we understand concerns regarding cleanliness. Therefore, all equipment receives further sanitisation after the initial cleaning using Dew products which are 99.99% effective at killing bacteria, chemical-free, eco-friendly and certified by the allergy clinic.

All breast pump parts that come in contact with breast milk, such as bottles, valves, tubes and breast shields, are fully submerged in a pan and boiled for a minimum of 5 minutes.

Drying and re-assembly

Before delivery, all equipment undergoes a safety review and further sanitisation. Products are air dried, re-assembled and safety checked in line with manufacturers' guidelines. So you can be confident all products delivered to your door are thoroughly clean, safe, and ready to use.

Please note: all electrical equipment undergoes regular PAT testing in-line with HSE guidance.

Mattress and sleep aid safety

All of our mattresses are bought from new. They're firm and correctly fit the cots we supply. We inspect them before and after rentals to ensure they remain in top condition and free from holes, rips or stains. Mattresses are always used with a waterproof mattress protector, which is supplied as part of the rental package.

On return from rental, mattresses undergo extensive cleaning and sanitisation. We vacuum them thoroughly, and the covers are washed with Milton antibacterial laundry tablets.

We supply a range of products and sleep aids alongside our mattresses, and all should be used following the safe sleep guidance from the Lullaby Trust.
