For over two years, alongside three other incredible local women and business owners, we have carefully curated and delivered our monthly Bumps, Babies & Brunch events for new and expectant mums.

We truly understand how important support, connection and community are during pregnancy and early motherhood, and creating that safe, welcoming space has been something we feel incredibly proud of.

Our brunches have gone from strength to strength, growing into a beautiful, supportive community. Watching friendships form, confidence grow, and mums feel less alone has been one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

But as we all know… babies don’t stay babies forever.

Many of our original BBB little ones are now confidently on the move and have outgrown our early-stage brunch sessions, which are designed for bumps, newborns and pre-walkers.

And so, I have recently launched  Tots Take Over independently (with the blessing of the BBB team) created especially for those growing little personalities (and the mums who still deserve connection, calm and community just as much as ever).

You meet lots of mums on your journey, but you don’t always click with everyone. Sometimes your friendships are built around your first child — school gates, class groups, shared routines. Then suddenly they go off to school, or you’re home with baby number two or three, and everything shifts.

Friends go back to work.
Schedules change.
Children move on.

And you can find yourself a year or two into motherhood feeling even more isolated than you did in those early newborn days — when the focus and support often feels strongest.

I recognise that feeling. I’ve lived it.

And that’s exactly why I want to do something about it.

I am so excited to have officially launched Tots Take Over and honestly, I have been completely blown away by the response so far.

Tots Take Over has been carefully created to provide calm, welcoming and enjoyable sessions for both mums and tots alike. Each event is thoughtfully curated with a range of age-appropriate activities for little ones, alongside interactive tasters and experiences hosted by amazing local businesses, as well as carefully selected equipment and play setups provided by The Bubba Hub.

Since launching, everything has gone exactly as I had hoped  relaxed mornings filled with connection, play, quality time and genuinely lovely memories for both mum and tot.

So far, we’ve welcomed a wonderful mix of immersive sensory and exploratory play sessions, music and movement activities, Pilates classes for mums, character appearances and beautifully themed experiences, all designed to create a morning that feels both engaging for little ones and genuinely enjoyable for parents too.

One of the most special additions to Tots Take Over has been the inclusion of professional photography at our events. Capturing those natural candid moments between mum and tot, alongside beautifully posed images, has added such a meaningful touch to the mornings. As mums, we are so often the ones behind the camera, so being able to provide gorgeous professional photos that families can truly treasure has become such an important part of the experience.

A huge thank you also goes to the incredibly talented photographers who have joined us so far and captured the events so beautifully. Their warmth, patience and ability to document those genuine little moments has been absolutely priceless.

I also feel truly grateful for the support I have received from so many wonderful local businesses  not only those joining us at events, but also those generously contributing gorgeous goodies, exclusive offers and thoughtful treats for our guests. The support and community surrounding Tots Take Over already feels incredibly special, and I cannot wait to continue growing it.
